Ten titles sizzle and stalk all in synthetic creaks, and, otherwise convulsively, the drool of unavailable brains, obsessive rhythms from which hatch, in the evening, very far from the bottom of the wood, in an electro-punk fog of urban wastelands, a vaguely minimalist, yet primitively realistic nude-porn poetry. It's Épilexique (ex Branlade de Cod) who waxes his crotch, word for word without cock or pussy, all in hypnotic and rebellious sensuality. Embarked in a drunken boat, like two epileptic savages, Quentin Pourchot (composer and instrumentalist) oozes from all sides brutal, warlike, sometimes animal sounds, on which his partner, Mâya Defay (writing and spoken word) plays it, brilliantly, a Brigitte Fontaine under amphetes, belching ramshackle sounds and words, with pretty epileptic grace. Quite fitting with those who brazenly say: “All in all, a great discovery, full of the unexpected! ". This Mâya cunt who severely puts the mind-blowing Lydia Lunch in jail with her performances, with politicized melodies, especially non-melodic ones, belches in a necromantic way, harangues, protests, and vociferates...: "the party is over", limits visionary witch. Cérébro Dancing, a venomous, turgid and oozing no-wave liturgy: "Introduce the mollusk deep into his anus". EPILEXIC· Je n'atariemp lup altar.....Transgenerational they say! As one would dream. @ludovicdetreouville

“You no longer know if you should listen to the harangues of the furious harpy, which pass François Ruffin for a boy scout, or start dancing to hardcore techno (Angerfist style) fashioned by his friend. You hadn't heard such a strong speech since Clotilde de Brito's show at Les Escales de Only Binic, the nice Clotilde does subtle and refined poetry, while Mâya doesn't hesitate to hit below the belt, the female dog! In summary, Epilexique is there to shake you up, orange alertness, strong winds, if Aquilon bothers you, don't do it, if you're not afraid, you listen! »

“Be careful, explicit texts: “I selfie therefore I am” declaims Mâya on the breathtaking Coïto ergo soy orgasum in vitro veritas ejaculum. Mâya is the figurehead of the electro-poetic-hit duo Epilexique. She doesn't really sing. Like a storyteller on acid, she shoots her stories on a breathless flow. She is a letter carrier and defines herself as an ethnologist. It is in everyday life that she draws the words that are thrown at us. Musically, the case is carried by Quentin, first-rate hacker, mistreating his synths and his machines with a maddening frenzy. »

“Bits with a chopper, words with a knife… a universe of ashes, a psyche in ruins, a black anger that spurts out with each verse… Maya Defay and Quentin Pourchot do not go there with the back of the musicalo-poetic spoon for settle accounts with this ruthless society … and put into words of gall the deep malaise dug in our hearts by submission to the rules. »

Between techno and electro, Epilexique has released its "Cérébro dancing", like an invitation to party. Combining minimalist, psychedelic, repetitive and dissonant music. From "C'est, C'tait", the listener enters the head of Mâya, the punk singer, during a rave party. As if to forget this world that deprives us of freedom, Epilexique in “Evaporation Neuronale allows the mind to the sound of electro beats and sound loops, to free itself from the grip of the body. Sound experience on "Coïto ergo soy orgasum in vitro veritas ejaculum", like the powerful beating of the heart, by the monotonous voice of Mâya, transcends time and space, distorts physical reality and makes it possible to free oneself from fear in which we evolve, while denouncing this virtual overconsumption. His sidekick Quentin is the author and composer of melodies tinged with synthesizers and drum machines galore. An amazing and crazy musical experience!

"Here's a barred project. A project that, somewhere, is good for morale because it encourages us to put our brains down and receive without trying to find out if it's good music or not. Basically we're Don't care. Because the urgency and visceralgia of the project is enough. (…) In short, whether we like it or not, these two dare. And just for that, thank you.

"Even in the best thrillers, there is an end that brings a taste of life back, here no question, so let's dance to their cries of urban war...
But be careful, everything goes fast: their beat is not recommended for anyone with a heart condition"

" Epilexique gives free rein to its craziest rantings and it's against a background of sex, drugs and rock'n'roll that the craziest duo on the current scene will offer us a one-of-a-kind experience, a sort of ritual mass where the electronic sounds sometimes turn into a tribal trance to arrive at improbable and incredibly crazy works... »

" Oh gosh, text techno they said, Minimalist, the sound is a straight in the face / not even bad… Two uninhibited savages sweep the musical landscape with their obsessive sound, hypnotizing crowds. Epilexique has anxiety-provoking hallucinations and the collateral intoxication of a raw poetic verve written in the ink of your viscera. Unexpected."

" If you missed this nugget, come back and taste some EPILEXIQUE! an album with unique titles, it deserves careful listening. Poetic texts (…) a minimalist and hypnotic techno. »

Manhandled, heckled, Epilexique takes us in the vortex of a centrifuge. Slow program, fast program, ultra-violent program... this first Epilexique album takes us through all the states but especially the most intensive, until we finish a little groggy from a prolonged session until the end of its Cerebro Dancing.
The album brings together all the social violence of today's world in a few oppressive titles. This album is terribly disturbing, disturbing as possible. But hard to get rid of. The first listening does not allow to perceive all the distilled messages, we go over the titles again and again, to become crazy ! We dissect the texts at the same time as we begin to adopt them.
Billy Idol talked about Cyber Punk in the 90s… Epilexic took him at his word and took it up on his own!
